Are you struggling with situations and circumstances that have remained stubborn and adamant? Have you prayed and fasted and sought counselling and it appears nothing is working? It has been written that all things are possible for they that believe and are called according to his purpose; why are you struggling so hard then? Many of us today are really struggling with painful situations and we’ve done all we can to overcome and nothing seems to be working, shifting or giving way for solution. Many of us are struggling with our relationships, our marriages, our children, our finances, our careers, our businesses, our health and many other life issues. We’ve prayed about these matters, we’ve fasted and perhaps sought different spiritual leaders to intercede and pray with us on these matters, yet, it seems nothing is happening. We have vowed, sown seeds, made sacrificial offerings and given lavishly to probably activate this blessing or breakthrough and still, it isn’t happening. We have sought for spiritual intervention and deliverance, fought the kingdom of darkness; applied the anointing oil, used Holy Communion and so many symbolic ordinances. Yet, nothing is happening.Out of exasperation, we have concluded the challenge is probably a testing of our faith, God is probably testing us to check our commitment and faith in Him.Continue Reading

I write you as a fellow Preacher and one sent by God essentially for the purpose of salvation of souls through Christ Jesus and kingdom expansion on earth.
As preachers, we know a typical Nigerian Christian today doesn’t devout quality time to STUDY the bible and MEDITATE. What most do is read at morning and evening devotion essentially to satisfy their conscience. It’s a routine, a ritual; a ceremony. Most members of our congregation are not passionate about revelation and the truth of the gospel hence, lack the spiritual MIND SIGHT to understand God’s WORD and God’s WAYS in context; hence, can’t see the real TRUTH!
The consequence of being lazy bible scholars is much worse than many members of our congregation think. It makes them easy victims of exploitation and deception. As pastors, yes, we use the scriptures when we minister alright, but you and I know, Satan also used the scriptures as well in his ploy to tempt Jesus. Because it’s in the bible does not make it always appropriate in application. Right context and revelation by the Spirit is the reward for diligent study and revelation of the word. Many members of our congregation don’t really know thisContinue Reading

Q. Mr. Afolabi, it’s a pleasure to share this moment with you and getting you to publicly share your knowledge and your personal views about the concept and practice of tithing especially since that moment, weeks ago, I heard you say something like tithes does not belong to God?Continue Reading
Are you today trusting God for answers in a particular area of your life? Have you been praying, fasting and sowing seeds? You're diligent as a steward and all you seem to be getting as feedback from God is silence?
Are you under intense pressure, things don't seem to be going on well with you? Or perhaps you're doing okay, you're just insecure and you need a guarantee of protection and preservation from God - considering the evil, wickedness and destruction that is so prevalent in the world today?
Dear friend, you're not alone, many Christians feel this way too.
Facing this reality without any pretence, many Christians today are only hoping that one day, their prayers would be answered and things would change for the better. They don't know when, they do not know how, they just have decided to follow God's will, through thick and thin.
I feel it in churches, I sense it with many Christians, many have just resolved to remain grateful for all they still have and be thankful for life. Testimonies are no longer as spectacular in many Christian gatherings. Many testimonies are based on things unbelievers also enjoy through the grace and mercies of God (as a God that brings rain upon the godly and the ungodly).Continue Reading
THE MAN BEGAN TO PROSPER, AND CONTINUED PROSPERING UNTIL HE BECAME VERY PROSPEROUS. GENESIS 26:13
It is contrary to the nature of God to make losses. God is not a loser, He is always a winner. God did not create you to be a loser in life, he created you for profit, not losses.
God is passionate about profit hence the many parables by Jesus about a master giving talents to his stewards with instruction that they profit with all. (Luke 19) God does not take kindly with unprofitable servants. Dear friend are you profitable.
Many Christians today have relinquished common sense and intelligence to embrace destructive doctrines. We spiritualise too many things to cover up for our weaknesses, laziness and failures.
God is very interested in physical profits! This is not soul winning as many pastors have taught it, this is making profit in business! Dollars, pounds, euros, Naira, real money real profit.Continue Reading
'AND NOT BEING WEAK IN FAITH, HE DID NOT CONSIDER HIS OWN BODY, ALREADY DEAD (SINCE HE WAS ABOUT A HUNDRED YEARS OLD), AND THE DEADNESS OF SARAH'S WOMB' ROMANS 4:19
The first of the six major reasons why God created you is for fruitfulness. God commanded man in genesis 1:28 to be FRUITFUL, to multiply, fill the earth, subdue, replenish and have dominion.
What does it mean to be fruitful? It simply means whatever you have or carry as a human being, you should increase it not by adding to it but by multiplying it. God illustrated this through plants by putting the multiplication power in fruits and seeds. Every seed produces after its kind. When a grain, or a seed is buried in the ground, it does not reproduce a unit of itself, it reproduces very many more after its kind. A grain of corn sown in the soil doesn't not produce another grain but a head with thousands of grains like itself.Continue Reading
'FOR THOUGH BY THIS TIME YOU OUGHT TO BE TEACHERS, YOU NEED SOMEONE TO TEACH YOU AGAIN THE FIRST PRINCIPLES OF THE ORACLES OF GOD; AND YOU HAVE COME TO NEED MILK AND NOT SOLID FOOD’. HEBREWS 5:12
The major bane on the development of the church and Christianity particularly in Nigeria today is the laziness of the congregation. Many Christians today are spiritually lazy. They sadly invest more time, effort, energy and dedication to physical activities and stewardship in church when the most powerful approach to a life of dominion, back to back victory and success is the time invested interacting with the Holy Spirit.
Many Christians today are very comfortable relating with their maker through 'spiritual consultants’ – so called men of God. They do not seek to know God or have a personal revelation or intimacy with Him. They would rather relate with God through their pastors and perceived spiritual people.
This unfortunately has opened up the opportunity for many weak and shallow men of God to begin to merchandise the gospel for profit. These Pastors do not disciple their members or congregation. They do not teach them how to relate and know God themselves; they only motivate them with the promises of God; giving false hope and promises without emphasising the true terms and conditions for the blessing.Continue Reading
My husband is desperately interested in becoming the pastor of our parish! For several years now he's been in and out of jobs; he is not very hard working and he's very arrogant. He is stubborn and rebellious. He isn't really that much of a believer.
But lately he's been very diligent, committed and devoted in church. He attends every church program and has joined major departments including prayer, evangelism, ushering and protocol.
He also began to read the Bible and many Christian literatures. I became curious because all these activities didn't influence his behavior; he still drinks heavily, womanizes and swears.Continue Reading
Dear Mr. Muyiwa,
As I write you this mail, I’m very bitter and angry. I’m angry at my husband, at our church and even at God.
Six months ago my last daughter was very ill; I have three children; a boy and two girls. She was coughing and whizzing, she had cold and was running temperature. I covered her up, gave her medication and tried to put her to sleep but all night she was whizzing and struggling to breathe. By 4am the next morning I was so scared because of the way she looked, I woke my husband up and asked that we rush my daughter to the hospital.
Immediately we arrived at the hospital the nurse on duty checked my daughter and recommended she gets admitted immediately.
I didn’t have any money on me, it was a Saturday night (we are not so rich). My husband also said he didn’t have any money on him and that all he had left was his tithe and he must pay it that morning in church. I pleaded with him to please use it for our daughter’s sake and get some money later to pay the tithe; he refused; saying his God will heal our daughter if he pays the tithe.
He left me at the hospital and left for church; he is a worker.Continue Reading
Then God blessed them and He said to them, be fruitful, multiply, subdue replenish the earth and have dominion (Genesis 1:28)
This mandate of God is the mandate of ruler-ship, being in charge, having the authority and power to decide what happens!
As a business and career coach I have many times encountered many people who believe God didn’t design them to be in charge! They believe God designed them to be subjects not kings or rulers or people of authority. How do I mean you may ask?
I’ve heard so many people especially Nigerians where I live say confidently they are not designed or capable of self-employment that they have been designed to only work for someone else!
Frankly Speaking, no one really works for any organization as it were; everyone in paid-employment is working for the owner or owners of the business no matter the size. You don’t work for the establishment; you work for the owner or owners. You work, they make the money; they are automatically and absolutely in charge; not you!
When you insist you are only designed for paid employment, you are implying God did not design you to be in charge of your own world and destiny.Continue Reading
Lately a young lady began to speak to me about her fiancé; how much they loved each other and would want to spend the rest of their lives together. She was quite excited and pleased she’s finally found someone she really loves and would want to share the rest of her life with.
Then I asked her a common question Christians would usually ask, ‘HAVE YOU PRAYED ABOUT IT?’ She looked at me, and smiled, we are quite familiar so she’s free with me, she then asked a most interesting question, ‘why should I, what difference does it make?’
I was initially surprised at her remark and she saw it, she then continued, ‘why should I pray, how would I know what God’s opinion is? I just pray and don’t really wait for any response because in truth I can’t hear God, I don’t know when He speaks.
Before now I had stayed silent after prayers hoping I’d hear something, but what I heard was my imagination I guess; as what I heard was quite different from what eventually happened so in truth, I don’t know how to hear from God, I can’t differentiate His voice from my imagination, so why pray? I just do my best and hope for the best.’Continue Reading
As a professional brand consultant, I’m very aware of the power of show off!
Brands keep showing off what they have and can do, brands keep boasting of their strengths and their superiority over competition. This continuous communication; show off and boast in adverts and commercials is the basis upon which customers decide on their preferred product and continue to patronize.
For every brand that goes quiet and stops advertising, they are subsequently forgotten and they die.
Such very good brands that are now forgotten because they went quiet in Nigeria include Starcoms telecoms, Cowbell Milk, Trebor peppermint, Breeze soap, Planta, Malta sweet, Tomapep, Flourish toothpaste, Eclairs sweet, Nescao, etc.Continue Reading
I’m sure God had a better plan on His mind when He created you than for you to just come into this world, exist, eat, enjoy and die. To everything He created, there is a purpose. (Jeremiah 29:11 for I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future)
A greater proof that He didn’t just create you for ‘nothing’ is that He chose you and called you to repentance; meaning He has a job for you, there is a reason you were saved, anointed and preserved. God has a job for you. (Jeremiah 1:5 before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.)
Unfortunately, many of us today are very busy pursuing what we think or assume is the reason we were saved. In fact many still think they were saved in order to go to heaven only, if this was the case, you should have died physically the day you repented – why is He still keeping you here and not take you to Heaven immediately if that’s all there is to your salvation? (Luke 19:13 so he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. 'Put this money to work,' he said, 'until I come back.')Continue Reading
I believe a kingdom is about a king, his people, his territory and a constitution; the law, the tradition, policies and system by which the citizens live, abide and relate.
What really differentiates one kingdom from another is how the people choose to live. The laws that govern them, the constitution they’ve all decided to subscribe to.
One of the most de-emphasized purpose of Christ’s death and resurrection is Governance! The prophet Isaiah says and the government shall be upon his shoulder (Isaiah 9:6) hence government and governance is part of our responsibility to enforce as the body of Christ as we make up his shoulders too! (Colossians1:18)
More than any other teaching, the kingdom was priority for Jesus in the synoptic gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. So many teachings and parables by Jesus were likened to a kingdom! (Matthew 13)
The bible clearly states in the book of revelation that by the purchase of blood through Christ, the kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our lord and of his Christ! (Revelations 11:15)Jesus redeemed the world; bought it back from the enemy with his blood; he then re-authorized believers to take charge; teach, preach and enforce the kingdom on earth!
Because all POWER and AUTHORITY is His! (Matthew 28:19)He also gave us the keys to kingdoms, whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven and at the mention of his name every knee bows in heaven, EARTH and beneath the earth! (Matthew 18:17-18)The kingdom of this world indeed belongs to our God! Hallelujah!Continue Reading
